Idol Manager: Mission Complete!

Wow.

It's honestly hard to come up with words to express how we feel right now. You, our amazing backers, have surpassed our expectations in ways beyond what we could have imagined.

First, you helped us hit our initial fundraising goal on the same day we launched. That was pretty amazing.

Then, you helped us hit three of our stretch goals in the first week.

Then, we hit the final 48 hours of our campaign having reached our $40k stretch goal. That alone already far surpassed our expectations for this project.

For a brief moment, we thought that we might be nearing the end of it, but we decided to give you another goal to reach for: could we raise our total to $50k in the final two days of the campaign? We decided to give it a shot.

And not only did you meet that goal, you surpassed it.

For the past several years, Idol Manager has been our passion project. This month, we finally got to share it with the world. We've been blown away, not only by your financial support, but the overwhelming number of encouraging messages we've received. We're absolutely ecstatic to find out that so many of you are just as excited about this project as we are, and we'll be working hard to make sure the project is everything that you and we want it to be.

We'll have more details to share about the project over the coming weeks and months. Right now, we're taking a moment to celebrate. And you should, too! This wouldn't have been possible without your support. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get here. You guys rock!

New stretch goal: Idol Manager on Nintendo Switch!

A new stretch goal? With less than two days to go? Well, we just crossed 40k (asynchronous multiplayer unlocked!) and after some internal deliberation, we're ready to announce:

If we can reach $50k before the end of the campaign, we'll be porting Idol Manager to the Nintendo Switch!

If we're able to unlock this, all backers who pledge $40 or more will get a Switch copy of the game in addition to the PC copy they're already receiving. This comes with a bit of a caveat: we don't want working on a Switch version to slow down the game's development, so any work on the port would have to wait until after we're done with the PC version; that, combined with the process of getting approved, would mean that the console version would come quite a bit later than the PC version, likely some time in 2019.

Can we raise 10k in the final two days? If you had asked me a month ago, I would have thought the idea was outlandish, but the first 10k that our project raised was all in the first day of the campaign. Can we do it again? It certainly won't be easy, but you've constantly surpassed our expectations over the past month, and we want to give you a chance to do it one more time.

Regardless of whether we meet the 50k milestone, we'd like you to know how grateful we are for your support. This has been a truly tremendous experience, and regardless of the final tally, we already consider this campaign a success beyond what we could have hoped for.  Thank you all!

Hey everyone!  With less than two days left to go in the campaign, we're rapidly closing in on our 40k stretch goal.

It feels a bit surreal to talk about hitting that milestone, because just a month ago we were launching our project with an initial goal of only $5,000.  Your help has taken us far beyond that, and the outpouring of support that we've gotten from our backers has been amazing.

Idol Manager has been a labor of love for the past several years, and it's been incredibly encouraging to finally share what we've been working on and discover that so many of you are as excited about this project as we are. Thank you to everyone who has helped get us this far!

Stretch goal reached: female manager!

We just passed our $15,000 milestone, which means we'll be adding the option to play as a female manager.

I'm amazed that it took us only 3 days to get this far, and it's all thanks to the many people who have backed our project. You guys rock!

Stretch goal reached: Vocal music tracks!

Hey guys, we've surpassed $30k, and that means we can add vocal music tracks to the game!

This will include original songs, and we'll also be adding 10 licensed songs corresponding with the game's 10 different musical genres. These include Pop, EDM, Rock, Metal, Hip Hop, Funk, R&B, Enka, and several others that you'll unlock along the way. Each musical genre has its own level that you can level up as your group becomes more experienced with it. When you max out a particular musical genre, you'll unlock a special track for that genre. If you can't max out all 10 musical genres in a single playthrough, don't worry: the special music tracks will stay unlocked permanently, so you can collect all 10 tracks across multiple playthroughs.

We'll have more to share about the special music tracks we're adding in future updates. Thanks again to everyone who has supported our project so far. We're really excited to be adding more music to the game (along with our other stretch goals), and this is all possible because of your support!
